• MSA 99 is a solution of methanesulfonic acid.MSA 99 is an excellent catalyst providing high efficiency in esterification reactions.In general terms the reaction times with MSA 99 are significantly shorter than with other sulfonic acids or with sulfuric acid.

• With MSA 99 it is possible to achieve products with light colors.The preferred temperature range for MSA 99 is between 60-180℃.The dosage of the catalyst is depending on the application between 0.05-1%.

Storage

MSA 99 has a shelf life of at least one year if stored correctly in its original closed packaging at room temperature.Exposure of the solution to the atmoshpere or light may result in a slight yellow discoloration of the product or development of a light odour.Sensitive to frost.
