TMG Company Profile

Information

1
TMG-234 is a new initiator in Poly-e-Caprolactone production

TMG-234 (Dibutyltin maleate) is a one of the organotin catalysts in our product portfolio. TMG-234 has been widely utilized as a PVC heat stabilizer and also an excellent catalyst in esterification and transesterification reaction.

TMG-234 is recently employed as an initiator in the production of poly-e- Caprolactone (PCL) in ring opening polymerization of e- Caprolactone.

Poly-e-Caprolactone:
Poly-ε-caprolactone (PCL) is one of the most important industrial polyesters that finds versatility of applications in Cast & TPU Elastomers, adhesives, coatings, resin intermediates, medicine, pharmacy, electronics, and packaging.

The physical, thermal and mechanical properties of PCL depend on its molecular weight and its degree of crystallinity.

TMG-129: An inevitable catalyst in niche chemical industries

MG 129 is a one of the inorganic tin catalysts in our product portfolio. It is a pale- yellow liquid. TMG 129 can be added to the reactants either as it  is  or  blended  with alcohols.

1. TMG 129 is a liquid catalyst, it can be handled easily in reactors.
2. The dosage of TMG 129 generally used for PU foam systems are between 0.06-0.2%
3. It is easy to remove TMG 129 by chemical treatment or adsorption with TMG TINEX-products,once a reaction hasbeen completed successfully.
4. It is especially used in the products at higher reaction temperatures (>160°C)

TMG-218 is a condensation curing catalyst in RTV Silicones

Silicones
Silicones are a general category of synthetic polymers whose basic structure is made up of polyorganosiloxanes, where silicon atoms are linked to oxygen to create the siloxane bond. The remaining valences of silicon are linked to organic groups, mainly methyl groups.

Silicones are the most stable polymer offer superior reliability, excellent service life and reduced production costs. In addition, silicones significantly resist acids, bases, solvents, chemicals, oils, and water.

TMG’s heat stabilizers for PVC Applications

At TMG-Chemicals, we offer various Tin maleate products that stabilize the heat during the PVC
polymerization reactions and improve the final products' properties and performance according to their
intended use. These Tin maleate stabilizers are sulfur-free and highly recommended for PVC products that
require excellent transparency, thermal stability, and weatherability.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the third most common synthesized plastic polymer after polypropylene and
polyethylene. PVC has gained widespread popularity due to its exceptional versatility, durability and costeffectiveness.
This thermoplastic material can be rigid or flexible, making it suitable for various applications
across different industries. PVC is known for its excellent chemical resistance, electrical insulation and flameretardant
properties, making it a preferred choice in manufacturing products such as pipes, cables, window
profiles, medical tubing, automotive parts and more.
A tin stabilizer is made of an organotin mercaptide or carboxylate compound, commonly used for PVC heat
stabilization. They offer enhanced transparency, thermal stability, color retention, and workability. It has
several single and di alkyl salts combined in different ratios. The stabilizers essentially offer protection against
heat damage during PVC processing.
Tin maleates are sulfur-free organotin carboxylates that provide excellent light stability to finished goods
intended for outdoor applications. However, they are less efficient as heat stabilizers than the sulfurcontaining
organotin mercaptides.
TMG-Chemicals offers a selection of eight distinct butyl and octyl tin maleate heat stabilizers, which are
extensively employed in PVC resin production. These heat stabilizers exhibit notable potential and are tailored
to specific applications, each with its anticipated performance. To facilitate the decision-making process, the
intended use and expected performance of each tin maleate heat stabilizer are presented in the table below.

KEYNOTES

TMG’s Bismuth catalysts for Polyurethane (PU) Application

Bismuth has emerged as an exceptional catalyst that exhibits Lewis acid properties, simultaneously possessing lower toxicity levels than other metal salts. Bismuth carboxylates serve as an excellent alternative for numerous toxic metal catalysts used in polyurethane systems, thereby enhancing the safety and environmental sustainability of the process.

At TMG-Chemicals, we offer organo-bismuth catalysts that accelerate urethane reactions and improve the final products' properties and performance according to their intended use. These catalysts are non-toxic and highly recommended for PU products that require frequent human interaction.

Organo-bismuth catalysts
*TMG-720 is recommended for 2K PU and block isocyanate coatings.
*TMG-716, 722, 724, and 728 are recommended for PU applications including coating, adhesive, sealant, and elastomer.
*TMG-719 is recommended for PU electrophoretic paint coatings.
*TMG-716 is specifically recommended for PU flooring and PU casting systems.
