TMG 218

Application

• TMG 218 is a catalyst which can be used in various applications.TMG 218 catalysis esterification as well as transesterification reactions. Concentrations between 0.01- 1% according to the application have been proved as advantageous. The catalyst is easily soluble in esters. The temperature range in which TMG 218 is applicable is between 80-240°C.
• TMG 218 is also used for the catalysis of the reaction between isocyanates and alcohols.TMG 218 is especially advantageous for the production of coatings based on polyurethanes.TMG 218 is suitable for the condensation of silicones,especially for the production of RTV silicone resins.
• TMG 218 is also applicable for the production of silane modified polyehtylene.Upon request,TMG 218 can also be offered in special formulations.
